My name is Cody, pen name S.C. Barrus.  I'm currently writing a Victorian era adventure novel with a pre-steampunk twist (technology is growing, most of it pretty basic, but the oily smell of progress is in the air).  It's called The Island and the Sea, and you can learn more about it by visiting my blog, though I never know what to share about a novel in progress.

In any case, I am excited to meet more of you.  Is anyone located in Washington State?  I'm starting a novel writing work shop in Issaquah if anyone is interested.

Also, if any of you are writers (up and coming or established) I would love to hear from you.

Sadly, I'm in Hawaii... sounds like you'll be having a lot of fun across the waters :D

Did you just say, sadly your in hawaii???  What could be sad about that?  Maybe I'm just being rosy eyed, but writing in hawaii sounds pretty amazing!

Yes, SADLY ... stuck on the rock... *hanging head* where is an airship when i need one???

our steampunk community here is mostly cosplay and they don't seem to know what to do with me.. oh well.. I guess i'll just write...

We'll have to get you to the mainland for some events, or find a way to hold one in Hawaii. I'm game.

lol.. sounds good to me... both going and coming :D
