Which magazines/publications accept submissions for steampunk short stories?

Title says it all really, I'm wondering where an aspiring steampunk author can see examples of short fiction and can submit my own efforts for possible inclusion.

I've seen Steampunk submissions accepted all over the place at standard SF/F mags; as always it depends on their guidelines and the type of story they typically run.

For Steampunk-only, the options that I know of are Steampunk Tales, Steampunk Magazine, Doctor Fantastique's Show of Wonders, and The Gatehouse. I'm sure I've forgotten quite a few though.

Full disclosure: I'm the Chief Editor of Doctor Fantastique's, and I read everything that comes to our submissions email (submissions@doctorfantastiques.com). We release a new crop of shorts every two months but are definitely looking to be more frequent.

Cheers for this Matthew, I appreciate your time.
Not a problem, Peter. The more steampunk fiction we get out into the world the happier I am.
I submitted a piece for your consideration called the First Vampyre, I don't know if it's textbook steampunk for you but horses for courses I guess.
Hi, Peter.  Sorry this reply is a little late in the day, but a fantastic resource I've found is Ralan's Webstraviganza.  It's a monthly (I think) updated list of all English, so British, Irish, North American, Australia etc etc, spec fiction markets broken down by their status and includes what they accept, how they're published and much more useful information.  I really can't recommend it enough.  Best of luck.

The Jekyll and Hyde of Writing

Writing and rewriting are two sides of the same coin but each takes a different kind of mindset to accomplish. Most folks think of writing when they imagine what writers do; scribbling creative characters, scenes; oozing creativity onto the page into the wee hours of the night. Beginning writers dive into…See More

"Yes Gwen, that can make it challenging. But if this seems to be your cup of tea but you don't want to interrupt your beauty rest, you can always download it and listen to it afterwards. :)"
