I'm extremely pleased to announce that A Rare Chance At The Enemy, a short story excerpt from my steampunk novel Napoleon Concerto, has been accepted by The Science Fiction Show for Battlespace, an anthology of military speculative fiction. Napoleon Concerto is a novel of how history could have been that reads like Patrick O’Brian mixed with Jules Verne. The excerpt describes how Napoleon battles a British frigate with a steam-powered, ironclad ram, designed and built by Robert Fulton.
Battlespace will debut Memorial Day Weekend 2012. All proceeds from book sales will go to the Warrior Cry Music Project, a charitable organization to help veterans. The book will be available on the widest range of eBook platforms as well as in print.
I'm delighted to have this story accepted for the anthology and always happy to be of aid to my fellow veterans. I hope that everyone's doing well and that you get some good news soon like I have with this.
