In what ways do steampunk artist employ Gaslight Parnormal elements in their work?

Started by Mike Glide Dec 9, 2012. 0 Replies

I was curious in what ways people are using this subject in their work.  I've seen that several writers use elements of this in their work (quite well, I might add).  Any artist out there?  Anyone…Continue

I was just introduced to the concept of Gaslight through my online Steampunk class last month. I am curious as to what people think are common elements of a Gaslight, and maybe what lines you draw to…Continue

Doyle's works, especially his "History of Spiritualism" induce the proper paranormal steampunk atmosphere.

Have you seen this book: The Perfect Medium? It's quite creepy ...

I have that book, The Perfect Medium. It is really comprehensive. I have researched spirit photography for several years as my newest novel, Seance in Sepia, is about that topic.
Please stop by my blog, where I discussed spirit photography recently:

I have some links there, one in particular to a couple who have an extensive collection of these photographs. (this couple is also into Steampunk, as I met them on the web through the Brass Goggles forum.)

Great topic for a novel! I actually get scared every time I open that book.

Michelle... you have a wonderful and insightful blog... I  wish I had more time to wander through more of your blog and website today but I wll defintely return to them when I have more time.

I have done little research into spirit photograph as I ran a paranormal group for a few years back in early 2000 - 2003.  I have always love the delicate ties between this world and the the world we encounter beyond.

Nice to be here, so glad to have found this group! =)
