Steampunk before it was steampunk

has anyone ever checked out the 70's prog scene? There was a sub-genre of this labled as 'Baroque-rock'. Bands such as procol harem fell into this category. This Album: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bORKpY7BI0U&list=PL8a8cutYP7fq7e... (The Grand Hotel) is probably one of the best examples of it. Some of the most steampunk themes ever- a grand hotel.

If you're familiar with the work of Douglas Adams (hitchikers guide to the galaxy) the scene with the restaurant at the end of the universe was inspired by listening to the grand hotel, so it cant be all bad.

Does anyone else know of more of these sorts of albums? wtih the kind of prog-edwardian feel? the only other one that I can think came close would be 'a trick of the tail' by genesis. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1wXF4t7TMG0
