Welcome to SteamMusic, where you can find links to good Steampunk music. Please suggest anything you want, good writing music is always appreciated.

To start off the music suggestions, here's a link to SundayDriver(UK)'s debut album, 'City of Dreadful Night'. Don't worry, the link is safe. Be warned, I don't know how long the whole album will remain free, but for know there are 11 tracks of very good music.

A bit of background on SundayDriver, they've been around for about 10 years. In 2008 they released their debut album, and in 2009 they were the opening band for the UK Steampunk Festival. Pretty impressive, that. Check 'em out, here's the link:

There is a group working in London called the Clockwork Quartet, although there are actually about a dozen of them.  They have two songs on their old website for free download, and hopefully there will be some more forthcoming in the future.  They do occasional shows (to call them gigs would be a horrible disrespect), and there is a spinoff group for gigging purposes called Pocketwatch.

I prefer The Doctor's Wife, but The Watchmaker's Apprentice is also excellent.  I cannot wait for a proper EP: http://www.clockworkquartet.com/music.php

Jonathan - Clockwork Quartet is definitely good. I was pleased to discover that their music could be downloaded for free.

Another music suggestion is Abney Park. Yes, we've all heard of them, and yes, they can be overly dramatic, but they live up to a Steampunk tag. Most of their music is on youtube, check out a video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lcFfxCaYT6E

I love Abney Park.   I saw them at DragonCon in 2010 and they were great!!
They have a grand sound, kind of like Nightwish, and it makes for wonderful movie music.
