Illo#2, in progress, for Dark Victorian: RISEN. Excerpt: She passed the book kiosk where a delivery man was setting down stacks of periodicals and papers. While he and the seller worked, she turned her head and saw a woman standing there.
She was a young lady in her mid-twenties, dark haired with arched brows and a rosy tint to her lips and cheek. Her hair was disorderly beneath her hat. One side of her face wore a fitted leather mask. Her eyes were blue, and at the sight of Artifice her lips parted and her eyes grew wide with a strange, deep delight and profound awe. Artifice returned the gaze and then had to break it; the intensity unsettled her.
