You Might Find This Interesting...

I didn't really know where to place this, but I thought these were interesting and figured i'd share as these would make great elements in a  horror/magick based SP tale. The link I posted is in regards to Victorian Hair Wreaths.  The purpose of the wreaths, which the article does not say, is that they were meant to be heirlooms and keepsakes for remembrance as the majority could not afford photographs. …See More

Introduce yourself!
Greetings all,
My forte is writing screenplays. I own a film production co. that is lying dormant while I obtain my Bachelors in traditional Chinese medicine here in China. I've returned to writing novels and look forward to really breaking out in 2011. Besides writing and seeing everything through a film lens, I'm also a professional guitarist (new ep coming out soon--band of course is steampunk themed) as well as a martial arts expert. I've had articles published by kung fu magazine and am a Daoist disciple in two different sects of Daoism and the next generation lineage holder of a Daoist family style of kung fu. I guess you can say I like to wear many hats.
What do you hope to find at The Steampunk Writers & Artists Guild?
friendship, like minds, a few laughs, inspiration, intelligent recourse.
How did you hear about us?

Thank you Donaidh for your generous comments.  I see in your profile that you do indeed wear many hats.  I find that for some strange reason, I usually find myself associating with folks who have many influences informing their thinking and creativity.  I think it gives depth and creates more possibilities for the unexpected associations in the mind.

Cheers, Kevin

I'm in because I drew blueprints for a water ship / aerial / spacecraft, It runs on steam, and utilizes a mechanical energy storage and generation device.Within the vessel is a garden, for entirely self-contained food. The one aspect I haven't entirely worked out is H2O generation, i.e. fuel, or perpetual fuel. The ship also has a gamer's deck, in the event things get dull, or the moment strikes.Happy Sailing,SJSee More
