The Goodreads app!

I uploaded Dark Victorian: Risen to Goodreads, to make it available for purchase there. It was a nice surprise to be notified that I can approve it for the Goodreads app as well. The epub file had been reformatted (no prompt from me) and looked pretty swell in preview. The Goodreads app is free, but I've yet to try it myself. Pretty cool! Regarding an editor, Jo Vanderhooft might be someone to check out. She was the editor for the steampunk anthologies SteamPowered and SteamPowered II.

Thank you, Elizabeth. :D

I'm still new to 3D. I am trained as a fine artist. I am trying to learn how to incorporate what I know in 2D to 3D.

It's fun learning, though. :D

Oh, I completely agree. In college, I minored in design because I was too cheap to pay a designer to 'clean-up' my fine art projects for finals ... lol. Little did I realize I was doubling my hire-ability ... lol.

Then, a couple of years ago, I started learning 3D software in increase my artistic range further, opening up more potential jobs for myself. It took me a year before I felt confident enough with it to publish anything small scale, and just now I feel I am actually getting the hang of it. But I have so much more to learn. I am so a novice with what 3D can do ... lol.

And I am not about to even attempt animation, which is one of the things the software is designed to do.

Lol ... not for quite some time. I am a book illustrator. So it isn't likely I'll be needing to animate any time soon ... lol.

The Jekyll and Hyde of Writing

Writing and rewriting are two sides of the same coin but each takes a different kind of mindset to accomplish. Most folks think of writing when they imagine what writers do; scribbling creative characters, scenes; oozing creativity onto the page into the wee hours of the night. Beginning writers dive into…See More
