Hello everybody!
I'm happy I have found this place. I was looking for something like this for quite a while.
I live in the very south of Germany, Bavaria, about 160km far from Munich, in a small boring town, with nothing really interesting close to it. That also means, I'm pretty lost where I live, because everybody is quite far away, who I might able to share my love for steampunk with.
Unlike others, I'm not into dressing up, but I adore those people and their costumes, their ideas and looks ...
Since I can remember I always wanted to write my own stories, or maybe even a book, but I still haven't managed to get startet yet. It always was (beside maybe disturbing things in my life) a question of what I really want to write. I love historical novels and thrillers, but it wasn't quite the thing I could put all my passion into. I love fantasy, but no science fiction, but can't really draw a line between those two.
So quite a few years ago I heard about steampunk and was fascinated right the first second. Well, as life plays it's ways out, it took a long time, before I finally could get more into it and now I still have to work many ways through it to understand the full potential steampunk can offer. It is probabely one of the most creative things you can imagine. It can involve absolutely everything your heart wishes for, but still be followed back to some simple facts of history and what you make of it. That's what I love so much about it and makes me understand, I finally found, what I was looking for, for so many years.
One of my raw ideas to go with ...
Husky X ( short for "Cross" ) isn't an assassin, nor a spy. He is most likely a figure following the tracks of noble and powerful people to unveil their bad and anarchistic intentions, hidden under the name of bringing work and luxury to everyone, while in fact they are only sneaking people into a new kind of slavery.
Husky X wants to write about it in newspapers, a book, and let the people know about the real noblemans intentions, which is far from what they preach to the crowds ...
Husky X the name I use almost everywhere, because it was the breed of my dog, my best friend ever. It was a Husky-Dingo, short Husky X in the papers. I miss him still a lot.
All I might write (yes, I say might, because still I have only lots of papers full with ideas), will probabely set in Canada, Victoria, BC (Vancouver Island and it's different places), and parts of Vancouver itself. Why? Well, I had the really awesome fortune to be able to live there for four years. It is just my most favourite place in the world.
