Jeremy Brandon Murphy replied to J.R. Woods's discussion Aether in Steampunk Fiction in the group WORDSMITHS
"A concept of aether plays a heavy role in the alternate history steam punk book I'm working on. I agree that consistent physics are important. Wouldn't worry about "stepping on any toes" though."

Aether in Steampunk Fiction

I know in the end I have creative freedom and I already have some solid ideas of how aether will work and what it will be like in my story, but I just wanted to get community…See More

The Azure Cat

I'm in because I drew blueprints for a water ship / aerial / spacecraft, It runs on steam, and utilizes a mechanical energy storage and generation device.Within the vessel is a garden, for entirely self-contained food. The one aspect I haven't entirely worked out is H2O generation, i.e. fuel, or perpetual fuel. The ship also has a gamer's deck, in the event things get dull, or the moment strikes.Happy Sailing,SJSee More
