A set of 6 splendid videos have been created and released by the young and talented Mr Christopher Taylor, consisting of a general introduction followed by steampunk literature, fashion, music, gadgets and sports. All of them are funny and informative, and I especially recommend the video on literature... because I'm in it :)Video 2 is linked below, and should guide the intrepid explorer to the remaining 5. Introduce yourself!
I'm an author and editor at Double Dragon Ebooks, and (unfortunately) a slave monkey in a 9-5 grind. My last book had a Steampunk style, though it's not actually Steampunk as such, but I enjoy Steampunk style and I all being well I shall pop-up at Steamed as a guest editor in February 2010...
What do you hope to find at The Steampunk Writers & Artists Guild?
Ideas - what to read, what to watch, what to do in the Steampunk community, and maybe a few ideas for future works.
How did you hear about us?

Not so much a blog, more a series of questions... but first, the context.

It’s a new year. As I look back at the old one, I see a few personal successes such as two new books published, one concerning the idiotic Ripperology business, the other a steampunk work that seems to have done reasonably well on the Double Dragon Fictionwise list. (Jack the Theorist and Rise of the Steampunk Empire, if you wish to look either one up. The latter is published under my ‘Barnabas…

A short while ago Double Dragon Ebooks accepted my novella Steampunk Imperialism for publication, albeit with a name change to Rise of the Steampunk Empire. The reason I’m blogging about this, apart from the obvious, is because of what caused the story to be written in the first place. That cause was Charles Stross.

As most of you probably already know, Mister Stross is not a fan of steampunk. In…
