I won the second award for my steampunk story (about Calistrat Hadimbu...): the RomCon 2012 award for short story (ROMCON is the Romanian Convention for Fantasy & Science Fiction). Maybe it's time to translate it from Romanian into English.
After winning the Galileo Award, my story "The story of Calistrat Hadîmbu..." is now a nominee for RomCon Awards 2012 (RomCon is the Romanian science fiction national convention). Also Oliviu Craznic's story "Last Hourglass" is a nominee. Both were published in "Steampunk. The second revolution" anthology in 2011.
Good news for Romanian steampunk.
My story "The story of Calistrat Hadîmbu from Vizireni, cowardly killed by the uncle Raul Colentina in an inn on the outskirts of Bucharest" won the Galileo Award 2012 for best short story.
And "Steampunk. The Second Revolution", edited by Adrian Craciun (Millennium Books, 2011, cover illustration by Edward Miller) won the award for best anthology.
