I'm currently writing a Steampunk Adventure novel, and I'm hoping to build up an audience while I write.  Basically, I'm wondering what you (a published writer) did to build your audience (if anything) before you began submitting your novel to agents, or before you began the self publishing process.See More

Introduce yourself!
I’m S.C. Barrus, but you can call me Cody. A writer and entrepreneur, I wear many hats, both figuratively and literally.

On the writing end, I am currently writing a steampunk adventure story "The Island and the Sea". You can read more about it on my website AwayandAway.com
What do you hope to find at The Steampunk Writers & Artists Guild?
I am looking for a few things, and I am sure I will find at least part of it here. First I like the steampunk community, particularly in regards to the artists. I am hoping to network with artists of all kinds, but particularly high caliber writers.

I am also hoping to find a place where I can gain an audience for my novel in progress called "The Island and the Sea" to help insure it's success.
