Introduce yourself!
I am a comic artist/author working out of Fresno California.
My first whiff of the steam came to me out of the Port of
San Francisco. There was a gathering of like minded creators there, and amongst them, a contingent of curiously attired men and women seeming as if they had slipped from the pages of an Vernian novel. Death rays and top hats, bustles and bustiers, goggles and gears galore... I was fascinated! Inspired! Now, some three years later, I am working on a Graphic Novel entitled "GREW". It is a dystopian mélange forged from dreams and visions, wrought from the depths of my tortured psyche, and tied inextricably to the parallel universe from which it sprung.
I am in consort with a group of fellow artisans from around the globe. Together we are the Anthology 8. Hailing from far flung ports such as Sydney Australia and Cape Town South Africa, to Richmond Virginia and the great central valley of the golden state, we conspire to bring forth to the world a tomb of comic brilliance.
We prepose to unveil our creation at Wondercon 2011 April 2-4.
It is entitled 8 A Steam Punk Anthology. You can peruse or process here; http://www.illopond.com/community/viewforum.php?f=10
What do you hope to find at The Steampunk Writers & Artists Guild?
like minded, creative individuals who are serious about expression and who perhaps revel in the collaborative experience.
How did you hear about us?

Thank you, Samuel. I'm not an artist, just a writer admiring the fine work over here. :)

Thanks much for the kind words Samuel.

Life has been busy so sorry about taking a bit to chat back.  What are you working on these days?

Cheers, Kevin

Real Rules for Airships - The Canadian Version

It seems that airships might once again grace the skies of Canada, not just as novelties but as working aircraft. They are becoming an attractive option for mining companies and other industries that operate in remote areas of the country. Because of this, our government has drafted regulations regarding the construction of these vehicles. So, for those of you who need a little reference for your world building, here is a real world example of airship regulations:…See More
