I'm a British expat living in California, represented by Laura Rennert (Andrea Brown Lit). I'm also the founder of The Steampunk Writers & Artists Guild.
On Friday nights I co-host #SteampunkChat, a chat for Steampunks and writers on Twitter @ 6 pm PST.
When I discovered the world of Steampunk about seven years ago I experienced the relief of someone recently diagnosed with a learning disorder—all my oddities were finally understood, if not entirely justified!
I share my home with my son, two excessively athletic cats, an Irish Red & White Setter, and over 5,000 books.
What do you hope to find at The Steampunk Writers & Artists Guild?
All the best links, resources, support and friendship made possible by networking with talented writers working in this genre.
"Beyond that I'm fascinated by all things Steampunk, like someone who's just been diagnosed with a mental disorder and discovers all her oddities are finally understood, if not entirely justified." -- I can so relate to that! Looking forward to participating here.
Thank you for your kind invitation. I am pleased to be here and look forward to what we can all do together. Just like snowflakes, it will be amazing to find out what we can do if we all stick together.
"Very cool. I have made a Sounds Of Steam group here, and will do more than just mention you need help on the show tonight. I will mention you need writers, readers, fans, artists, etc. Because community is life."
"Having a standing desk definitely limits how much time I spend surfing the Net! LOL
I interchange between my standing desk, my sitting down desk, and my reading chair to make sure I don't create thrombosis problems down the road."
"A 'read' registers every time a new user clicks on a chapter. If someone comes back to read it again it won't register as they've already seen it.
Wattpad Feature books, but only if the author is willing to leave them up…"
I use Wattpad, and I have to say that I've had a very positive experience so far. I have one question about reads. What constitutes a read? Does a person just need to visit the first page of a chapter for the number to…"
The Museum sounds like a great project, and once my novel is released, I'd be happy to add it to the museum. What kind of writing work do you need done? I can donate a little time.
In regards to you asking about interviews, I…"
