The Electricians are Coming!

Reading up on the Swedish author August Strindberg (1849-1912). In the late 1890s he suffered a mental breakdown and during this period he was convinced that he was threathened by an unknown group of "electricians, black magicians, and wizards". Wonderful stuff there for a writer. Like in this quote from "Excerpts from the Diary of a Damned Man":

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7jzJqqTNjVw

Frenchy and the Punk, I met them at The Great Steampunk Exhibition.  A wonderful pair, living an artist's adventure, traveling and performing all over.  My table was next to theirs, they sold CD's and T-shirts, and I my book.  I wasn't expecting much from their music, then this video pops up on my facebook.  I see these two and a couple other great folks from the same event. …

(Jack the Theorist and Rise of the Steampunk Empire, if you wish to look either one up. The latter is published under my ‘Barnabas…

Voidships "Winter" update

I hope you had as nice a New Year celebration as you wished for.

Over on my main Voidships blog I have added the second installment about how the script for Winter evolved from a rejected pitch to the BBC (yes I was invited to pitch to the BBC) to the final web series script.

The Secret Notebook of Michael Faraday, my second novel in the Airship Flamel Advenstures Series is now available!

The book is a prequel to my first novel To Rule the Skies, although I think of it more as just coming first chronologically.  It follows the main character from my previous novel, Nicodemus Boffin, from his boyhood to about a decade before the events in To Rule the Skies. The synopsis:Nicodemus Boffin, a uncommonly clever boy…See More
