Man of Window- Partial Chapter (9 Minutes before Eleven) c. 1999

Man of Window…

This story is fiction….or is it? It is better as fiction, than a real entry some may say, as fiction has a protection curious to its own cause of never having happened, being a virtual extent of the imagination..

A young cosmopolitan was an insistent journalist, writing his memoirs, giving impact to…

Notes from 1999-2000 Prague (A journal frozen in time) in the

This story is true. It takes place from Journal Entry from Prague Czech Republic during my artist residence 1996-2003.

Prague Notes:

A young man in his recollections, augments in his journals, a glimpse of a time in the past:

It seemed a long time ago but still fresh in my mind, a brief glimpse, of time passed, but focused memory, those streets of Prague and those slalom…

Anyone care to draw this 1845 tank?

At the end of an anonymous 1845 poem praising the Wonders of Progress, we find this curious end-note describing a steam-powered battle-car. Perhaps a SWAG member might care to illustrate it (or include it in a story):

"Steam wagons to run on common roads have been invented in England. They are made to ascend rising ground and go down declivities at a suitable regulated… Continue

Stormy weather and Dinosaurs on an airship

I am working on a new series of steam punk stories for children, set in Victorian London, and I am having trouble with the main character. I am trying to create a history for him and am struggling with two possible scenarios.

The Azure Cat

I'm in because I drew blueprints for a water ship / aerial / spacecraft, It runs on steam, and utilizes a mechanical energy storage and generation device.Within the vessel is a garden, for entirely self-contained food. The one aspect I haven't entirely worked out is H2O generation, i.e. fuel, or perpetual fuel. The ship also has a gamer's deck, in the event things get dull, or the moment strikes.Happy Sailing,SJSee More
