It's absolutely stunning and I can't wait to see it in the flesh. Luckily none of us will have to wait too long as it will be published on December 1st, just over one & a half weeks away!

The Adventures of Phineas Frakture

Although I have been writing for the past twelve years, or so, starting off with historical fiction of pirates (long before they became popular) and then moving on to Star Trek fan fiction with my own stories of the USS Adventure, I have only been involved with Steampunk for the last six.  I was fascinated by the genre when I found models for my cg program Poser based on the style.  In researching it, I was led to Second Life and the City of New Babbage.  My character, Phineas Frakture, had…

my ruminations

When I started writing I was worried that, as it is when I run a RP game, I'd have problems with developing character motivation. Assuming I could buffer that some with technology and science fiction, I set out to write a work of Steam punk/ science fantasy. I determined, at first, to make the machines the focus instead of characters. Originally, I was going to have only two main characters, but it didn't stay that way for long. I've…

Adventures in teaching myself how to write-Descriptions

In the course of streamlining my descriptions, I think I've learned something. Don't talk to the reader like they're two years old unless it's a children's book.

Planes B, Volume I Steampunk Anthology in Spanish

Since October 2011 two writters from Spain and México came with the idea of an Anthology about retrofuturism, writting in spanish language and then asking all the latin american and spanish community be part of it.

That will be published as "Ácronos"

But many stories get out from the original project, so "Plan B" was born.

The next September 29th in EuroSteamCon Spain "Planes B Volume I" will be introduced, as a steampunk  Anthology with…

curious about steam punk purity

I've finished writing my novel. I'm somewhat worried that it may not be received well by the Steam Punk crowd. The first half is very much Steampunk-ish but in the second half it becomes hard scifi fantasy with future tech. I'm not apologetic but am curious about other's input.

I just wanted to mention that I'll be speaking at the Library Of Congress on November 1, 2012. If any of you happen to live near Washington D.C., I'd love to see you there. The subject of my speech is steampunk, so hopefully it'll be fun.

Also, to catch people up, my latest books are DARKER SIDE OF THE MOON "They" Are Watching Us! This is now Number #1 on the Amazon Kindle Best Seller List for its genres, and has been for about two months now. And…

Charles Saunders's fantastic review

Check out the legendary Charles Saunders's (author of the accalimed Imaro, Damballa and Dossouye series) review of my steampunk novels The Switch II: Clockwork and Immortal IV: Collision of Worlds.

Here's a snippet :) "Valjeanne "Sister Moon" Jeffers continues to rise in the ranks of speculative fiction authors with the release of the latest novels in her interlocking Immortal/Switch series. Her writing weaves vivid threads of science fiction, fantasy, horror and erotic as…
