From Ay-leen the Peacemaker:
I wanted to give a heads-up about this event coming up this Sunday. It's a fundraiser to help out Gil Cnaan, the producer behind Dorian's Parlor in Philly, who's been hospitalized and now has bills he cannot pay :( He's a fantastic man and such a sweetheart and deserves all the support the community can give. I'd greatly appreciate it if you can help signal-boost this any way you can. Please use the text below.
Welcome! Welcome! Welcome to you all, Goths and Geeks, Steampunks and lovers of unique and unparalleled fun - to benefit our longtime artistic director, Gil Cnaan, who is currently in the hospital with heart failure!
Gil has spent the last several years of his life creating amazing places for non-ordinary people to feel safe and at home and to have a great time. We're going to help him out, and we've got a truly spectacular evening planned. We don't just have an incredible show, a fantastic cause, a low price, a great venue, and an amazing night. We also offer one of the friendliest and most welcoming Steampunk events in the world - even if you've never been to one of our events, you WILL be surrounded be kindred spirits.
