I just got my second rejection letter for "The Goblinfolk" and Old Gnarlytoes" as well as some constructive criticism.
Am I despondent over this?
HELL NO!
Am I motivated?
HELL YES!!! :-)

Comment by Kent Edward Whittington on April 5, 2012 at 10:11pm This is the message I was sent:
Dear Mr. Whittington,
Thank you for your submission. We have reviewed your poems, and,
regretfully, we have decided against using them. Unfortunately, we
receive too many submissions to publish them all. We appreciate your
interest in our podcast.
Cheers!

P.S. - Mind your meter; using such a strong rhythm makes it really
stand out when you flub a beat.
Well, at least it was strong... :-)
Comment by Alison DeLuca on April 18, 2012 at 6:30am That's an excellent sign that you got personalized feedback and not just a form letter. Good for you!
My favorite rejection letter ever told me to quit writing as I had little to no talent. Now, four novels later, I still thank that person in my mind for giving me the motivation to prove them wrong.
Good for you, Kent!
