Steampunk computer to be built at last?!

This is of special interest to steampunk fans, but to computer enthusiasts as well---

I hope they are able to construct it to see if it works, although since he had several different incomplete plans for it, it may not prove what they hope to, since they will have to adapt and adlib a bit. The part of the article about the Countess being the first programmer was also interesting!  With all those metal parts and punch cards, can you imagine the racket that thing would make?
