"Beyond that I'm fascinated by all things Steampunk, like someone who's just been diagnosed with a mental disorder and discovers all her oddities are finally understood, if not entirely justified." -- I can so relate to that! Looking forward to participating here.

Thank you for your kind invitation. I am pleased to be here and look forward to what we can all do together. Just like snowflakes, it will be amazing to find out what we can do if we all stick together.

Hi Lia, I can put the research links wherever you want them to go. Just let me know. So far I've discovered fairly extensive links for NYC history.

I'll encourage more writers to join. I'd like every author and artist who was in Steampunk Fissure to join the guild. Thanks so much for taking all the time to create such a great way to communicate with other authors and publishers.

Hi Lia, as per your question, I'm not sure you could go far wrong call any such group something like Steampunk Artist's Union or the ilk. Trying to be clever I'm drawing a blank off hand.

There's synchronicity for you! I designed the site myself (off a basic WP theme) - it's the result of trial and error over a period of months, but yes, I am actually quite pleased with it myself. And I'm delighted to be here with you all.

But I love the look and feel of this site - really brass 'n' leather steampunk stuff. And some great images scattered throughout the whole site. I love the whole steampunk aesthetic, though I think I'm now too old to dress up that way :-(
