Introduce yourself!
Hi!

I am a writer, photographer, videographer, steampunk fan from the US.

There's an old saying, "Those who can, do. Those who can't, teach."

Along that line you might also say, "Those who can write, do. Those who can't, critique."

So, other than my photography, video interviews, and such, I am known for writing about things that are beyond my personal abilities.

On my sites you will find articles, images, and videos of artists, performers, writers, and others.

My sites include:

http://weirdreview.com
http://steampunksoiree.com
http://dorkumentarian.com
and others.
What do you hope to find at The Steampunk Writers & Artists Guild?
Networking, meeting people, finding about interesting places, events, and things...
How did you hear about us?

Welcome to S.W.A.G.! It's great to have you here! You sound like a real enthusiast for the genre, and I am excited to see how you will contribute to the blogs and site in general.

Thanks! I have been interested in the genre for a few years, starting with the first World Steam Expo in Dearborn, MI back in May/June 2010

I consider myself, primarily a photographer, but added writing because folks kept asking what people were doing in the pics.  X-)

I had to check my main site to get an idea how many articles I have written on the genre.

http://weirdreview.com/page/19/?s=steam I really am not certain that just pulling up "steam" as  a search term is going to be most accurate but over 100???  Maybe.

I had folks tell me they were really interested in one or another genre but they said my main site had too much on it for them to be able to find what they were looking for so I have been creating additional sites to focus on particular topics, hence The Steampunk Soiree - http://www.steampunksoiree.com

My big event of the year is Mardi Gras and I am just getting ready to head to New Orleans to get ready.  During Mardi Gras I have a few photographers shooting for me so I need to get ready for it ahead of time.

Anyhow, I have to get back to it and hit the road before the weather turns bad between Michigan and New Orleans.  X-)

Please feel free to add me on Facebook, Twitter, etc.

The Secret Notebook of Michael Faraday, my second novel in the Airship Flamel Advenstures Series is now available!

The book is a prequel to my first novel To Rule the Skies, although I think of it more as just coming first chronologically.  It follows the main character from my previous novel, Nicodemus Boffin, from his boyhood to about a decade before the events in To Rule the Skies. The synopsis:Nicodemus Boffin, a uncommonly clever boy…See More
