My first time planning a novel - a great adventure itself!

Well, finally here it is: My first blog post on S.W.A.G., even my first blog post ever!

Feels good :-)

As I mentioned, I started working on my first steampunk novel a few weeks ago, even my first novel ever (hmm, bad style boy, using the same phrase as above ...; HA! Who cares? I am no English native speaker. Can do better in German.)

Back to the point.

During the last year I had to travel twoandahalfhours (I know, I could use plain numbers to express that ...) by train to get to the hospital where I work as a clinical pathologist and again the whole thing in the evening to get home.

I had a lot of time sitting around.

Just with myself and my little imaginary friend called creativity (I bet You all know her. Her? Sure, creativity is female in German "Die Kreativität")

One lovely rainy and cloudy morning, just between two latte macchiato (about 300 calories each :-(), creativity knocked on the heavy door that leads to my consciousness, coming up with the idea of writing a novel.

Luckily I had to change trains at "Hannover Hauptbahnhof" where I got some paper and a pen before departing again.

Since that day, the story, characters, settings have been growing bigger and bigger.

In my next post I will give you a first look at the gigantic steam powered subterranean city of ORE!

Welcome to SWAG, my first novel took me three years to write and is only now in print.  Best of luck to you in your endeavors.
