I'm a writer. I enjoy steampunk, urban fantasy, and dark romantic fantasy. I used to sing lead vocals in a couple bands that I now realize were steampunk before steampunk was cool. We played all kinds of unusual instruments and blended Celtic, Middle Eastern, Rock and often performed with belly dancers. I also belly danced. I sewed a lot of costumes over the years that might have been steampunk. These days I mainly write and hope my daughter follows in my artsy footsteps. I like to think that steampunk has a connection to most everything I love - music, dance, writing, costuming, travel, hanging out at conventions & ren faires. I also find information security and igneous petrology wildly sexy - I'm sure there's a little steampunk in there somewhere.
