I've always had a much more interesting life inside my head than outside, so I became a writer to even it out. The internet helps, too. In my day job, I'm known as psychologist Dr. B. By night, I write urban fantasy, new adult contemporary, and just turned in the second book in my steampunk series. I find the genre really suits my voice, so I'll probably stay here for a while. My debut steampunk novel Eros Element will be out on August 25, 2015 with Samhain Publishing. My short story The Clockwork Boy came out in Abyss & Apex in March 2015. Oh, and I drink and blog about wine, too.
What do you hope to find at The Steampunk Writers & Artists Guild?
Most importantly, I want to connect with readers and also provide writers with exposure for their published characters and help with their ornery unpublished ones through the Characters on the Couch series on my blog. I'm also looking to be part of a community who will have resources for research and who can also discuss the challenge of publishing in a genre that's supposedly waning.
